Hi! Hope all is well with everyone. What better to get back into the swing of things with some fun facts that you may or may not know about me? But, be warned some of them may surprise you!
1. I'm the middle child (thanks to my older brother and little sister).
2. I'm EXTREMELY afraid of lightning! It's a bit odd considering how much I love rain and the sound of thunder.
3. I speak Spanish fluently. I actually wrote a post for POPSUGAR on my experience growing up bilingual.
4. I'm Puerto Rican, Salvadorian and Mexican.
5. Sadly, I have yet to visit any of those places (Puerto Rico, El Salvador or Mexico) yet!
6. I don't know how to whistle.
7. I have tiny feet (size 5 1/2 on a good day 6).
8. Grew up in the suburbs just outside San Francisco, CA. Filled with block parties and playing outside with other kids on my street like what you'd see on TV like in the Sandlot or Wonder Years.
9. Studied abroad in Paris, France. It was my first time leaving the United States and all by myself not knowing anyone when I arrived.
10. I'm a plant lady. No, really. From succulents, tulips, proteas and all. I'm pretty sure I was a florist in another life.
11. I'm lucky enough to have some of the best group of people in my life. With some of my closest friendships lasting since Kindergarten.
12. I have no shame admitting that I can quote the following movies word for word: Home Alone 1 + 2, Elf, You Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Devil Wears Prada, Breakfast at Tiffany's and all classic Disney/Pixar movies.
13. I've never been to Alcatraz even though I've been living in San Francisco, CA for over a year and grew up in the Bay Area.
14. I HATE scary movies.
15. Evey time I see a dog I can't help but shriek with joy. French bulldogs, corgis and pugs are my weakness.
16. I can't really cook if my life depended on it. I don't have the patience to wait I just love to eat. But, I can make a great bowl of cereal? :)
17. I'm a HUGE Disney fan. Yes, I have a Disneyland annual pass too.
18. Sometimes I feel like the "mom" in my group of friends. They tend to come to me for help or advice. I guess I have an old soul?
19. I played soccer for over 6 years and my nickname was "crazy legs". I played forward and halfback so I did lots and lots of running.
20. I don't like ketchup and the smell alone freaks me out.
21. I was vice president in 5th grade. How did I win you may ask? I put my name on lollipops and passed them around school. Benefits included leaving early for lunch and working at the student store and ball storage room. OH YEAH!
22. I love camping! Used to go to a home-away camp (Bug Juice style) every summer growing up as well as with my family up near Russian River. Some of the best summers I've ever had to this day filled with so many hilarious memories.
23. I did ballet when I was I was a kid. My teacher at the time used to have a skeleton in the room which scared me so much that I quit not that soon after. (One of my biggest regrets of my life and my family still teases me about it.)
24. My boyfriend and I met in middle school. We shared our first kiss together and it's still crazy to think how much we've grown over the years.
25. I'm a BIG Warriors fan. Yes, even when they sucked. Let's get this Championship DUBS!
